Summer in Alaska, and more debuts across the country

It is now officially summer in Alaska, that magical time when the flowers shoot up so fast you can practically hear them grow, the fish are jumping, the tourists are arriving, and you never want to go to bed because the sun is shining all day and night. If summer also includes a few pesky mosquitoes and the
occasional 90-degree day, so be it. If you've never been to Alaska in the summer, GO! And if you have, GO AGAIN! And if you're going, don't miss the beautiful Matanuska Valley. Every time we return, it takes our breath away. Majestic mountains, glaciers, rivers, rolling farmland, friendly people, intriguing history, and the most delicious produce you're ever going to taste make it a wonderful place to visit. We can hardly wait to return again in August to show our films in the Wineck Barn at the Alaska State Fair. We'll be writing more about our Fair plans soon, but we'll just say that we hope you join us, because there will be plenty going on in the Wineck Barn to bring you back again and again.

In the meantime, Alaska Far Away continues its tour of public television stations across the country. Here's a list of the broadcasts through the end of June. Not in your broadcast area?
